UK Drill Rapper dsavv diss UK Police on Social Media After Hospital Escapes

A UK drill rapper known as dsavv has drawn public attention after allegedly escaping police custody twice within a week and later posting a video on social media referencing the incidents.
According to reports from the BBC, the rapper, whose real name is Daniel Boakye, fled from Lewisham Hospital on Sunday, February 15, where he had been taken for medical treatment.
This marked the second reported escape attempt within five days. Earlier that week, Boakye is said to have absconded from custody at West Middlesex University Hospital before being apprehended by the Metropolitan Police the following day.
Social Media Video References Police and TV Drama
Shortly after the hospital incident, a video circulated online appearing to show the rapper referencing his escape in a song shared on Instagram.
In the clip, Dsavv is seen performing lyrics that allude to evading custody and referencing the character Modie from the crime drama Top Boy.

The character Morris “Modie” Gregory was portrayed by British rapper and actor Dave in the series.
Authorities have not publicly commented on the social media content beyond confirming they are reviewing the circumstances surrounding the escape.
Dsavv’s Previous Conviction
Court records indicate that Boakye a.k.a Dsavv was sentenced in 2023 to six years and five months in prison for his involvement with a robbery gang that targeted victims using knives and demanded access to their mobile phone passwords.
Police stated that officers attempted to pursue him during the most recent hospital incident but were unable to detain him before he exited the building.
In an official statement, the Metropolitan Police said:
“We are searching for a 21-year-old man who absconded from Lewisham Hospital at around 3:05pm on Sunday, February 15. Officers gave chase but could not detain Boakye before he left the building.”
The statement added that the matter is under internal review, with the force’s directorate of professional standards informed.
Ongoing Investigation
Authorities have confirmed that investigations into the escape incidents are ongoing. Police have not provided further details regarding potential additional charges.
The case has sparked discussion within the UK music scene and online communities, particularly around the intersection of drill music culture and law enforcement scrutiny.
