A Key Member Since 2011
Tim Very joined Manchester Orchestra in 2011 following the departure of former drummer Jeremiah Edmond. Over more than a decade with the band, he contributed to multiple studio albums and toured extensively, becoming a central figure in the group’s evolving sound.
Manchester Orchestra, formed in Atlanta, Georgia, is known for its emotionally layered alternative rock style and loyal fan base. During Very’s tenure, the band released critically recognised projects and performed at major venues and festivals across the United States and internationally.
Band members credited his musical dedication and passion for his craft as integral to their creative journey.
“He had an undeniable light that was only matched by his dedication and love for the craft that he was clearly put on earth to do,” the statement said.
Remembered for His Family and Creativity
Beyond his work with Manchester Orchestra, Very pursued other creative outlets, including content shared on his YouTube channel. Friends and fans often described him as multi-talented and deeply committed to artistic expression.
The band emphasised that family meant everything to him.
“The only thing that Tim Very loved more than creating music was being with his family. You’d be pressed to find a more joyful dad,” the group shared.
They concluded their tribute with a message of gratitude and enduring affection: “We love you Tim, thank you for loving us. You are a force of positivity that will be a constant presence in the rest of our days.”

An Outpouring of Tributes
