He made his senior debut at just 17 in 2003, scoring against Somalia. Gyan played a key role in helping Ghana qualify for their first-ever FIFA World Cup in 2006.

At the 2006 tournament, he scored Black Stars’ first World Cup goal against the Czech Republic — a strike that came just 68 seconds into the match, then one of the fastest goals in World Cup history.

2. Edward Acquah – 45 Goals

Edward Acquah scored 45 goals in only 41 appearances between 1956 and 1964, an extraordinary strike rate.

He starred at the 1963 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), scoring four goals, including two in the final against Sudan to secure Black Stars’ first continental title.
